[ARCHIVED] Take Action during Severe Weather Preparedness Week 2020


The Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) has declared February 3-7, 2020, to be Severe Weather Preparedness Week and Camden County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) urges all Camden County citizens to take time to learn about possible severe weather threats and how to prepare for them.

“We want to encourage all Camden County residents to plan and prepare for severe weather,” said EMA Director Chuck White. “Severe weather may impact our community at any time of the year making it important for everyone to take steps to ensure their safety and the safety of their families.”

Throughout the week, Camden County citizens will learn about severe weather threats and preparedness steps including:

  • Family Preparedness,
  • Thunderstorm Safety,
  • Tornado Safety,
  • Lightning Safety, and
  • Flood Safety.

Specific information and tips will be posted throughout the week on the Camden County EMA’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. Camden County residents looking for more information on how to prepare for severe weather can visit the Camden County EMA webpage or Ready Georgia.
