This list, created with guidance from staff and the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG), details legislative concerns in which the county has a vested interest.
“It is important for Camden County to communicate with our state elected officials,” said Chairman Jimmy Starline. “We have a duty to inform these legislators about how their decisions affect us here locally.”
The 2020 State Legislative Priorities include:
- Marketplace Facilitator Tax Collection,
- Fees on Property Tax Bills,
- Tag and Title Agent Fees,
- Revenue Flexibility,
- Legal Organ Notice, and
- Mandatory Timber Harvest Notification/Tax Collection.
