“We are quite pleased to receive these funds,” said Camden County Grants Manager Julie Haigler. “This is a great opportunity for us to work with our partners and expand the trail program.”
The grant, combined with SPLOST, in-kind, and Camden County Public Service Authority (PSA) resources will construct an eight foot wide trail that is 2,000 linear feet in length. Construction of this phase of the project should be complete by July 2018 and will connect users to Howard Peeples Park and City of Kingsland sidewalks.
This project is part of the Coastal Georgia Greenway, a 155-mile trail system that connects South Carolina to Florida through Georgia’s six coastal counties.
