Following the lead of Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, the Camden County Board of Commissioners are closing county government offices on Friday, September 3, 2021. This day serves as an opportunity for Camden County government employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Independently, Camden County Schools, as well as other local governments in our community, are also closed on Friday, September 3, 2021, for this purpose. Camden County courts will remain open on Friday, September 3, 2021.
Camden County residents are urged to talk to their medical providers about receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) currently categorizes Camden County as having a high community transmission rate. To find a local vaccine provider, visit https://www.vaccines.gov/search, or https://www.gachd.org/vaccine. Additional vaccine opportunities are available through Southeast Georgia Health System.
Camden County offices and courts are closed on Monday, September 6, 2021, for Labor Day and will re-open with regular hours on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Camden County Landfills and Curbside Collection service for unincorporated Camden County will maintain a regular schedule.
