With the theme of “Disasters Don’t Wait. Make Your Plan Today,” the goal of National Preparedness Month is to increase the overall number of individuals, families, and communities that engage in preparedness actions at home, work, business, school, and places of worship.
“We want to encourage all Camden County residents to plan and prepare for emergency situations,” said Camden County EMA Director Chuck White. “With an active hurricane season, this is a great opportunity to take proactive steps to ensure your safety and the safety of your family.”
This year, all Camden County residents are encouraged to:
- Make a Plan,
- Build a Kit,
- Prepare for Disasters, and
- Teach Youth About Preparedness.
Specific information and tips will be posted throughout the month on the Camden County EMA’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
