Colorado State University’s Tropical Meteorology Project anticipates above-normal activity for the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season. Although Camden County did not receive widespread damage from last year’s Hurricane Dorian, all citizens should be aware that it only takes one storm to have a major impact on our community.
“We want to encourage all Camden County residents to join us in taking action now to ensure the safety of their homes and families,” said EMA Director Chuck White. “We cannot understate the importance of preparing now for the upcoming hurricane season.”
Throughout the week, Camden County residents will learn about hurricane risks, evacuations, disaster supplies, financial preparation, home preparation, helping neighbors, and making an emergency plan. Specific information and tips will be posted throughout the week on the Camden County EMA’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
