State of Georgia Absentee Ballot Request Portal

The Georgia Secretary of State's Office has a new Absentee Ballot Request Portal available at: https://ballotrequest.sos.ga.gov. Registered voters will be able to request an absentee ballot through the portal for the November 3, 2020 General Election. The information entered online must match your voter registration record. 

Important Dates to Remember for November 3rd General Election

  • October 5, 2020 - Voter Registration Deadline
  • October 13, 2020 - Advance In-Person (Early) Voting Begins
  • October 17, 2020 - Saturday Voting (Woodbine)
  • October 24, 2020 - Saturday Voting (Kingsland)
  • October 25, 2020 - Sunday Voting (Kingsland)
  • October 30, 2020 - Advance In-Person (Early) Voting Ends/Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot
  • November 3, 2020 - Election Day

Advance In-Person (Early) Voting

Camden County registered voters, regardless of polling place, may vote at any early voting opportunity. There will be NO voting on Monday, October 12, 2020, due to Columbus Day. Check your registration status and view sample ballots through the Georgia My Voter Page (MVP). Sample ballots are located in the Voter Information section in the top left section of the page.

New Voting Machines

Board of Elections & Registration Mission

As an independent body and within the legal framework of the State of Georgia and Camden County, the mission of the Board of Elections & Registration is that of:

  • Conducting elections and certifying the election results;
  • Verifying voters and ballots; 
  • Educating the community and increasing community awareness of upcoming elections; and,
  • Creating community confidence and trust in voting and the democratic process.

Responsibilities

  • Registering qualified citizens to vote.
  • Maintaining all voter records.
  • Providing verification of voters and voter information.
  • Assigning voters to appropriate Districts and Precincts.
  • Assisting with the training of Poll Officers.
  • Expediting all Absentee Voting.
