Regular Full-Time Employees may begin using personal leave after the six (6) month probationary period of employment; except for Fire/EMS employees who may begin using leave after the twelve (12) month probationary period.
Employees with six (6) months - four (4) years of employment, working an eight (8) hour work day accrue 6.67 hours per month or approximately 80 hours annually. Employees with six (6) months - four (4) years of employment, working a twelve (12) or 24 hour work day accrue 7.67 hours per month or approximately 92 hours annually.

Regular Full-Time employees begin to accrue sick leave immediately upon employment at the rate of four (4) hours per month, or 48 hours annually, except for Public Safety. Public Safety employees accrue eight (8) hours per month or 96 hours annually. All regular full-time employees are eligible to use sick leave immediately.
