Construction & Demolition (C & D) Industrial Waste Landfill

C & D Landfill

The Construction and Demolition (C&D) landfill has been in operation since 2003. On average, it receives 525 tons of waste each day. It is for disposal of building materials or other materials that do not have the potential to contaminate the groundwater, which includes:

  • EPD approved-construction and demolition debris
  • Pre-qualified industrial waste
  • Land clearing debris, tree waste, stumps and yard waste materials that meets the following criteria:
    • Logs greater than 6 inches in diameter must be cut into 4 foot lengths without branches attached.
    • Branches greater than 4 inches in diameter must be cut into 8 foot lengths.
    • Tree stumps must be cut with 1 foot or less of tree trunk attached to the stump.

We require the use of tarps and straps on waste loads, as required by state law, or you will not be allowed to dispose of your waste.  The C & D Industrial Waste landfill is operated as an enterprise fund without tax monies.
