Due to COVID-19, vital records, including death certificates, can be requested via mail only. Please follow the instructions listed below.

Death Certificates

For people who died in the State of Georgia, a Certified Death Certificate may be obtained from any county in Georgia regardless of the county of death.

Requirements

If you are requesting the death certificate, you must be able to prove your relationship to them. Otherwise, the Social Security Number will be redacted.

Fees

The fee is $25.00 for the first certified copy and $5.00 for any additional copies requested at the same time.

Request in Person

Probate Court Offices are located on the first floor of the Camden County Courthouse located at 210 East 4th Street in Woodbine. Certified Death Certificates may be obtained from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for holidays.

Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card, or Money Order may be used if paying in person
